The children of a 65-year-old person who lost one leg in an accident at
the Lushnje-Fier highway on October 1st, are trying to prove the
innocence of their father.
Xhemal Ymeri, from Savra, Lushnje, says that he was riding with his motorcycle very slowly when he felt a car crashing him. He says that he was left lying on the ground, with his leg cut off, for more than one hour, and the transport to hospital was made by passerby cars, not an ambulance. His children say that the accident scene has been manipulated.
“Investigators were surprised to find out that the car was coming from one side, according to the report, and my father ended up in the other side. But then he stopped his work just after a phone call from the Prosecutor. We tried to meet the Prosecutor, but he gave no explanations and used force to take us out”, say the children of the 65-year-old man.
“The signs on the road have been created after the fact, and a police officer was trying to force their father in the operation room to sign a document without letting us read it”, relatives say.
