After two postponed sessions, the Court of Serious Crimes implemented
accelerated trial for the former Prosecutor of Kruja, Haxhi Giu.
He was accused of corruption together with Aleks Shporti, for demanding 10.000 EUR to facilitate the legal situation of Shpori’s brother.
Giu had requested to be released for health problems, but the court established a group of experts to verify this claim.
This Friday, the former Prosecutor requested accelerated trial.
In exchange of money, the former Prosecutor had promised to change the charges of a defendant who was caught with drugs.
