Abuses with the social welfare

The Minister of Social Welfare, Erion Veliaj, declared that the abuses
with the economic welfare scheme and incapability have peaked in Kamza
during May, when thousands of people have abusively profited from the
scheme.

After reporting the abuses with the welfare scheme on “Fiks Fare”, on Top Channel, Mr.Veliaj declared that the Mayor of Kamza, Xhemal Mziu, will be charged with other accusations.

“What Fiks Fare showed was the worst part of a situation in which people admit that they have invested in businesses, they admit that they own bars and commercial activities, and they also admit that they receive economic welfare. This is unacceptable. Next week we will have a report at the Prosecution, as an answer to the investigation of Fiks Fare, and we will also make an audit of the abuses in Kamza. In some cases we have had abuses at the Municipal Council, in others it has been ordered by the Mayor. What we saw in the pre-election period of May, is that the list of economic welfare has been increased with thousands of people, abusively”, Veliaj declared.

Only at the Kamza Municipality there have been thousands of people who have property and good income, and who profit from the economic welfare.
