A technical government fulfils integration priorities, Basha tells Italian FM

Democratic Party leader Lulzim Basha met today with Italian Foreign Minister Angelilo Alfano. DP press office reported discussions focused on latest political development and opposition request for a technical government. Basha told Alfano that this solution is the only way to overcome the crisis and ensure free and fair elections.

“EU integration is a vital process for Albania and without free and fair elections there cannot be an European Albania”, Basha said.

Opposition leader explained that these European standards could be achieved only by a technical government engaged to enroll key priorities like decriminalization, war against narcotics, conditions for free elections and justice reform”.
