Without finishing the last year of secondary school, the 15 year old
Anxhela Hado was married to her neighbor, Ersnik Gjoshi, a marriage that
due to the early age was considered as engagement.
Their marriage looked beautiful from outside for three years, until when the 26-year-old husband started having health problems. Regardless the medical visits, none of the relatives thought that he suffered from psychiatric disorders and for this they had to seek help in a psychiatric hospital, until the day he stabbed Anxhela to death.
This crime took place in the house that the parents had built for the couple to have their own family. His sister has visited Ersnik several times in the past six months, and she says that the best doctors that had visited him initially suspected for kidney problems, but they were told that it was nothing.
The crime was foretold by the young man, who has apparently told to his grandmother that he would die the next day, because he didn’t feel well.
The couple was having a troubled life due to the disease of the 26-year-old, who says in thiss letter:
“I loved you but I couldn’t t express it. I want to be good and I pray to God to be strong and courageous. Doctors destroyed me because they didn’t know that I was allergic, but God will do the most beautiful thing and will give mercy. Please, God, my presence with you is love and I love you with all my heart, that’s why I am sad”.
While the father of the family, Ramiz Gjoshi, decided to stay silent because of his two losses, as he considers the life of his son and his daughter in law, Nadire, the mother, cannot keep her tears when she looks at the photograph of the couple.
The neighbors still can’t believe what happened with the Gjoshi family. One of them says:
“He came to us one day and said that someone was killing them. He said that it wasn’t the first time that they were trying to kill him. He was not OK”.
Anxhela doesn’t live anymore and the man who killed her risks life in prison, and the families will keep living their lives with this sorrow.
