An apartment building, seized a few days ago for lacking documents, has
been demolished by the National Inspectorate of Urban Construction. 150
kilograms of C4 were used for bringing down the 9-store building at the
Shkembi i Kavajes coast.

Police supported the action and blocked the national road for one hour, after evacuating the area from all residents.

The shock was so powerful that it damaged vehicles and buildings that were 150 meters away. Several shops suffered severe damage.

“We feared for our home. All windows broke. I don’t know who will pay for this damage”, one resident declared.

“I had left my car here and I found my window broken. I don’t know how this will be resolved”, another one protested.

After the National Inspectorate of Urban Construction reported the building that was constructed on state owned land, the Head of the Rroshbull Construction Inspectorate, Fiqiri Dema, was taken under arrest, while businessman Enver Shala, who was building the object, is still on the run.
