The ballot count is about to end throughout the country, except for
Tirana, where the process is very slow and with frequent itnerruption.

Some districts have concluded with the process, such as Diber and korce, with the results made public for the left coalition.

The current results keep being around 84 Parliament seats for the left coalition led by the Socialist Party, and 56 seats for the right winged coalition let by the Democratic Party.

This result might change even in Socialist Party’s favor, especially in Elbasan and Tirana.

The city of Shkoder was the biggest surprise, where the left coalition won for the first time in history. The result in Elbasan is not predicted too, since the Albanian Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, just inaugurated the Tirana-Elbasan tunnel. The Democratic Party was expecting to take at least three other seats in this district.

The result in Fier keeps being 11 seats for the Socialist Party and 5 for the Democratic Party; in Gjirokaster, 4 for the left and 1 for the right.

The result in Tirana is 18 for the left and 14 for the right, but the Socialist party could have a 19th seat after a few votes. However, this is not official.

In Berat, the left has 6 seats and the right coalition only 2; in Vlore, 8 for the left and 4 for the right’ in Elbasan 8 for the left and 6 for the right, but there could be a ninth for the left.

In Durres, 7 seats for the left and 6 for the right; in Diber, 3 for the left, 3 for the right.

The ballot count in korce has concluded with 7 seats for the left and 5 for the right.
