While more than 76% of the ballots are counted, SP leads with 48.79%, followed by DP with 29.1% and SMI with 14.53%.
While SP sees an increase of votes compared to four years ago, DP has lost significantly.
The Socialist Movement for Integration has also increased the number of votes, coming up with a higher number of MPs than the past term.
The Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity representing the Cham Albanians will also have their Parliament Members, although less than one year ago, based on the current ballot count:
Socialist Party led by Edi Rama – 73 seats out of 140
Democratic Party led by Lulzim Basha – 44 seats
Socialist Movement for Integration led by Petrit Vasili – 18 seats
Party for Justice, Integrity and Unity led by Shpetim Idrizi- 4 seats
Social-Democratic Party led by Skender Gjinushi – 1 seat
