6000 citizens from Kosovo entered the Albanian border in the past 24 hours.
“As regards the weekend, there have been 3000 vehicles have crossed the border with almost 6000 people in it. These are the data for the past 24 hours”, declared Ismed Hodaj, police sergeant.
According to the Kosovo Police, the number of Kosovo citizens is larger than to one year ago, even due to the improved weather conditions.
The main reasons that they are entering Albania are holidays and visiting relatives.
I have some relatives and I decided to meet them now that I’m not at work”, a itizen declared.
“My name is Demir Sadiku. I have an apartment in Durres and I’m going for two or three days”, another citizen declared.
Kosovo and Albania have been applying a system in the border with only a simple check, in order to avoid long queues.
