At the request of the socialist parliamentary group, the Assembly of Albania has decided to exclude 6 opposition MPs from the works of the Assembly for 10 days.
They are the main MPs of the DP faction led by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, namely Sali Berisha, Gazment Bardhi, Flamur Noka, Albana Vokshi, Elda Hoti and Edi Paloka.
The reason for the exclusion is the incidents caused on Monday in the session of the assembly when was prevented the continuation of normal work. From the beginning of the session, the democratic deputies blocked the pulpit by placing chairs as a barricade in front of it, while Flamur Noka lit flares, causing smoke and chaos in the hall.
Deputy Noka threw one of the flares in the direction of the Speaker of the Assembly. Although the leader of the session took disciplinary measures against the deputy, he continued to disrupt the progress of the plenary session. The situation worsened even further when MP Noka set fire to paper sheets several times and placed them on the chairs blocking the pulpit.
While the deputy Sali Berisha prevented the orderly development of the plenary session by occupying the floor of the Assembly, causing chaos in the hall and insulting the deputies and the leader of the session, “behaviors which are in complete contradiction with the Regulations of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania”, the socialists’ request states. which was then approved.
