A 47-year-old was killed in front of his house in Propisht, Pogradec.
The murder took place a few minutes before midnight in the deep
mountainous village, while the victim was identified as Shkelqim
Topalli.
According to the data, the father of two was in a residence when someone called him with another name. He went out to tell him that they were looking for the wrong person, but the attackers shot him with a machine gun. After hearing the shots, the relatives were immediately outside, but the killer had left. The victim passed away on his way to the hospital.
The relatives of the victim say that the cause of the murder might be an old property conflict with another family.
Police is investigating several leads, mostly focused on what the relatives declared and regarding possible revenges. The victim has had a conflict a few years ago, in which five people were wounded.
The second murder took place when a 50-year-old was shot to death at the “Kongresi i Manastirit”. The victim is called Sami Sheka, who is executed with firearm by two people. Police has arrived on the scene and is working for identifying and finding the authors.
