The Minister of Social Welfare, Blendi Klosi, confirmed the request of
Germany to hire 46.000 persons in jobs that are not preferred by
Germans.
“This doesn’t mean all 46.000 jobs will be for Albania. Together with the German government, through the program for German Support, GIZ, we have started collaborating with of our employment offices throughout the country. We will prepare the assistance offered by the State Social Service for everyone who has a profession”, Klosi said.
But, according to Klosi, there have been fewer requests than expected in the employment offices, mainly due to the fact that few are those who have a profession that is required. The situation for nurses is different. Only this year, 460 of them have been hired to Germany.
