Vice chairwoman of the Parliamentary Committee on the Economy Jorida Tabaku claims that 45 businesses per day were closed during this year. A crisis she says, hunting down companies and SMEs in Albania.
“This crisis is not letting these businesses grow but they continue to close activities every day. Figures are stubborn: on a four year term 68,731 businesses have unregistered from the tax office and the government is doing its best to avoid this essential debate. Only during the last 6 months term closures were 66% higher than the same period last year”, Tabaku posted on her Facebook page.
“Entrepreneurs report pressure from the government and their businesses are threatened by the consumption decrease and this is the main sign that the economy is in agony. Government is against the free and fair entrepreneurship and is stopping it with high taxes”, she added.
