This week has increased significantly the number of elected public
officials who need to send their form for the self-declaration of assets
at the Central Election Commission, but still, it is far from
fulfilling the legal obligation.
If we don’t hand over the application form within May 4th, one quarter of the elected public officials, including MPs, Ministers and Mayors, might lose their mandate.
CEC communicates that the application form has been handed over so far by 140 MPs. 40 are yet to complete it. From 20 Ministers in total, 11 have not filled the form yet. From 61 Mayors only 34 have sent it so far and from 1595 Municipal Councilors, only 1234 have sent it.
To give them more time, the CEC decided to keep the institution open even this Monday, which is a holiday due to the Orthodox Easter.
