The Parliamentary Commission of Economy approved the normative act that
authorizes the Albanian Energy Corporate (KESH) to take a 4.5 billion ALL emergency loans with the state
budget as a guarantee.
After the requests made by the MPs, the Ministry of Finances discovered that KESH had taken more than 105 millions of EUR in loans, all as overdrafts, and most of them with highest interests than the market.
For the opposition, this fact is the best indicator that KESH is financially ruined. The normative act increases the public debt to 59.3% of the National GDP.
