The Court of Tirana sentenced Kostandin Xhuvani to 35 years in prison for the murder of four people on November 2014.
The Court decided to accept the Prosecution’s request by giving four life sentences for every murder committed. But due to the accelerated trial, the final sentence is 35 years in prison.
The sentence is given as a condition to not accept any qualifying circumstance for Xhuvani, which means that the sentence should be serve completely. One day ago, Xhuvani asked to not be tried as a criminal, but as a person who committed an irresponsible action in qualifying circumstances.
Xhuvani is accused for the murder of Arber Demiraj, Edison Jaho, Enea Xhaji and Gianpaolo Azzolo. Xhuvani tried to leave the crime scene, but was arrested by the police.
