A 32-year-old mother abandoned her two children and appeared after one
year and a half, shocking this way the Kokomani family, in Hardhishta,
Shijak.
Her father, Skender Totomani, who reported her missing one year ago, says that her unexpected appearance could endanger the safety of his nieces, who live with their father in Tirana.
“I think my daughter has been trafficked. She was missing and left two children, now she has returned from Italy, one week ago, and tried to meet her daughters. Her husband didn’t allow her and the girls I scared. I don’t know what she will do. She has not called us. She has not met us. She simply went for the girls, and this scared us”, said Skender Kokomani, father of the now 33-year-old.
Her husband says that her frequent border crossing, information made available by the police, after reporting her missing, show that she has irresponsibly failed to meet her daughters. She has left with another resident of the village, who has also been reported to the police by the father.
“Her passport and the passport of the person who traffics her should be blocked. She has abandoned two children and now she is looking for them. I will not allow her to take the daughters after disappearing for one year and a half”, her father said.
The police is working to find the woman, while her father wants to report the man who he claims has trafficked her, and to put him to prison.
