32 persons were arrested after a major police operation against a network involved with clandestine traffic, but their leader, Dritan Gramozi, was able to escape.
Although he had been under police surveillance, the 44-year-old was somehow able to evade police.
As there is no official explanation about how he could escape, there are doubts that the mission could have been compromised.
Gramozi offered forged passports from Greece, Italy, Bulgaria and Czechia to people who entered the EU as clandestine, and his workers drove them to the borders.
He had even given false documents to criminals, such as Hajri Seferi, who was arrested trying to leave the country.
