Only 30% of the Lazarat citizens pay the electricity bills. The
task-force group declared that they will follow all legal procedures to
cut the illegal connections and bring all abusers to justice.
“We are proceeding with the power interruptions and the criminal reports against abusers with the electric energy. In cooperation with the Gjirokaster Police, we have arrested one of the abusers. The most problematic area is the Lazarat commune. We will try to intervene to start collecting the money of electricity usage”, declared Sokol Feruni, Director of CEZ.
The Gjirokaster District has a 90% of the energy payment, but losses in the network are considerable, and many areas suffer the consequences of a degraded network, which brings power interruptions.
