A grave firearms attack shocked yesterday Shkodra, the northwestern center of Albania, where Hamza Lici, Arlind Bushati and an innocent woman were killed.
Police investigations are focused on revenge between the Bajra and Lici tribes, but so far no perpetrator has been identified. The polica say around 20 people were interrogated, members of the Bajri tribe.
One victim of the attack was Arlind Bushati, son of the former candidate for deputy in this municipality, Xhemal Bushati.
The other victim, Hamza Lici, is the brother of Ibraim Lici, wanted for murder.
A moving car with as yet unidentified perpetrators fired at Lici and Bushati.
Lici passed away on the sspot, while Arlind Bushati fought for his life but passed away today.
Lici and Bushati were traveling from Shkodra to Koplik in a Benz type car, with Croatian license plates, when they were shot.
A few days ago, Arlind Bushati had reported to the police a failed assassination attempt on him in the center of the city of Shkodra.
In the massacre with three victims, an innocent bystander who was traveling on a motorcycle with her husband also died.
Bashkim Basha and Flutura Basha were traveling by motorbike when the Benz type vehicle in which Lici and Bushati were traveling lost control from the attack and crashed them.
Due to serious injuries, Flutura Basha has passed away, while Bashkim Basha continues to be in a serious condition, currently the only one injured in the incident.
A burnt Land Rover was found in the village of Grudë in Shkodra, 10 minutes after the incident. Inside it were found 2 Kallashnikov automatic weapons, which are suspected to have been used in the assassination.
While in the car in which the victims Hamza Lici and Arlind Bushati were traveling, three handguns were found.
So far, several people have been escorted by the police station but there is still no perpetrator.
