A 27-year-old man has died and two others were injured by the explosion of a grenade in the Tokez village, Librazhd.
Police say the two brothers and their uncle were collecting scrap metal in a former ammunition dismantling area near the Zgara Mountain.
The 27-year-old Arben Dosku died on the spot, while Lavderim Dosku, 45, and Alfred Dosku, 21, were injured and hospitalized, now out of life threatening danger.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the 27-year-old has accidentally hit the grenade which has immediately exploded. His brother and his uncle were far from the explosion and yet they were injured.
The place which was used for dismantling ammunition had no sings for danger of explosives.
Police is investigating for the full cause of explosions, and they are waiting for the two injured victims to stabilize before interrogating them.
Several people are obliged by difficult economic conditins to undertake dangerous initiatives like this. Collecting scrap metal and chrome by ignoring the safety norms has taken several lives in the past years.
