Police patrols have fined about 24,000 citizens across the country for not wearing a mask, since the new restricting measures came to power last month.
Among them there were also citizens who were found for the second time not wearing a mask, who were punished with a fine of 50 thousand old lek.
According to official data from the state police, 269 individuals were escorted to police stations because they refused to reveal their identities. After verifications they were fined and then released.
The police reports penalities for the violators of the rule for wearing the mask in public streets.
In just a few minutes, in the center of Tirana, we observed a patrol punishing several people for not wearing the mask, however most of the citizens turn out to be responsible and aware.
