The Albanian former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha, declared on the 23rd
anniversary of the Socialist Party that today’s government doesn’t
represent the values of the true Socialists of 23 years ago, since it
changed only its name and not its ideology.
“23 years ago, the communist Party of Labor gathered at the Palace of Congresses and changed its name to the Socialist Party, but by preserving the old values. Common socialists, this government is not representing your values. There is not a single socialist among them”, Berisha declared.
“These are destroying the 23-year contribution of the true socialists”, Berisha declared.
The former Prime Minister added that the government didn’t keep any electoral promise, and is not building any school, hospital or road.
The Socialist Party Parliament Member, Taulant Balla, declared that the Socialist Party has an important anniversary today and are prouder than ever that the Albanian left made Berisha retire on June 23rd.
“The government that came after the June 23rd elections will work for the democrats and socialists alike”, Balla added.
