The killer of the 19-year-old girl, Mbaresa Torba, declared to the court
that the crime was accidental. Elsjon (Arber) Dedja, 23, from
Peshkopia, was arrested a few hours after the murder.
He appeared in court and gave his version, saying that he had gone to meet his girlfriend after setting up a meeting with her at his grandfather’s cattle cottage, since he was a fugitive.
The 23-year-old admitted the crime and declared that it was not his intent to kill her, that’s why he appealed for mercy. The Court left it at prison until the verdict.
