On the 22nd day of the mineworkers’ hunger strike in Bulqize, 10 miners left the galleries due to health problems.

The miners left due to problems with their eyes, now under hospital’s care.

10 other miners have replaced their colleagues inside the gallery.

The head of the syndication, Kol Nikolla appealed for a resolution to the crisis, while the strike has no intention to end, with the miners replacing each other.

ACR has not given its stance for this new move from the miners.

No notification has been announced for the next meeting, which promises that the tense situation will continue for a long time in Bulqize. The decision for replacing the miners places their protest in a new phase. Last week, the Ministry of Economy tried to end the strike by asking Police to liberate the galleries in order to allow repairing groups inside the galleries, since their experts declared that the galleries are in risk of collapse. The miners’ efforts for continuing the protest outside the galleries failed to succeed due to the intervention of the Police.
