The year 2022 seems to be one of the best for Albanian tourism. According to the data of the Bank of Albania, for the first 6 months, the income from foreign tourists is calculated at 1.13 billion euros, over 440 million euros more compared to the same period last year.
Not only in terms of generated income, but also in number, tourists’ visits have been high this period.
INSTAT says that during the 7th month of this year, over 3.9 million foreign visitors entered the country, about 40% more than the same period last year.
According to the Bank of Albania, the increase in spending by tourists this period was also influenced by the sports and cultural events held in our country, especially the final of the Conference League, which brought many fans and visitors, giving an impact on tourism-related activities.
