The Tirana police announced that in the framework of the operation “Trick”, 37-year-old Blerina Kamberaj and 40-year-old Roland Kamberaj were arrested, for the criminal offenses “Fraud”, “Concealment of income”, “Non-payment of taxes” and ” Laundering the proceeds of crime or criminal activity”.
Also, following the actions, the citizens S. D., 40 years old, and E. M., 34 years old were prosecuted. Investigative actions showed that these citizens, through a call center, introduced themselves as stockbrokers to foreign nationals, and lured them with persuasion techniques to invest in dubious online platforms. Through fraud, in cooperation with each other, in different periods of time, the detainees have embezzled significant amounts of money from the cheated individuals.
