The Institution of Statistic say the Albanian economy grew with 2.96% in the first trimester. The INSTAT Director, Mirela Muca, listed the main sources.
“The main contribution came from hotels, restaurants and tarnsportation with 0.85%. The public administration, health and education with 0.6%, construction with 0.55%”, Muca said.
As for the demand, the economic growth is still led by the revival of investments.
The Raw Formation Component of Fixed Capital grew with 7.33% compared to the first trimester of 2015.
Private consumption has also returned in a positive territory after dropping the last year.
“Population consumption grew with 1.42% compared to the first trimester of 2015. The final consumption of the government in the first trimester dropped with 0.39% in 2016”, Muca said.
The government and the IMF foresee an economic growth of 3.4% this year, while the Bank of Albania has a more preserved plan, at 3%.
