After Elbasan and Kavaje, the government’s project named “Revival of our
Cities” arrives in Lushnje, with a transforming project for the town
square of the main city of Myzeqe.
Mayor Fatos Tushe declared that the government has given 2.5 million USD for the city to realize what has not been done in 23 years, starting with the town square that has never been fully functional for citizens.
Minister Eglantina Gjermeni, MP of Lushnje, says that these investments remove this city from the list of the forgotten, by underlining that the government is keeping the electoral promises.
Prime Minister Rama declared that this investment in Lushnje was not made for votes, but to present the concrete work of the Alliance for European Albania.
“We have promised to do for Lushnje what has not been done in the past 20 years, and we will do it. This first step, which is only the beginning, is a considerable investment that Lushnje has not been taking from years by the government of Tirana, because it was seen as enemy territory. Today there are 18.000 square meters of a public space in very bad conditions. This will be transformed into a European square, one of the most beautiful in Albania, and will be one of the most attractive meeting places for citizens”, the Prime Minister declared.
Rama added that the government is committed for other road investments, such as the Lushnje-Berat and the Lushnje-Karbunara roads.
The government leader walked on foot in the entrance road of this city, where illegal constructions will be demolished.
