The Gjirokaster Police has seized 150 kg of cannabis and has stopped one person who was transporting it.
After an information that the drug was coming out of Lazarat, the police has organized the “Parcel” operation. They arrested the vehicle with false license plate, driven by a Fier citizen. The vehicle was going fast in the Gjirokaster-Tepelena road, transporting a considerable amount of marijuana bought in Lazarat.
Specialists of the sector against narcotics have followed him and they cooperated with the Tepelena Police to block the road.
The driver has left the national road and drove to Hormova, where he abandoned the vehicle and left, taking advantage of the darkness to escape in the mountain close to the Hormova village.
Inside the vehicle there were 120 packages with 150 kg of narcotics.
