Denisa Alhasa was 4 years old when the Gërdec explosion took away her mother, Shqipe, who worked at the weapons dismantling factory in Gërdec.
Her mother was killed along with many others and 15 years after her loss, Denisa is now 19 years old and always keeps near the photo with her mother.
The girl found the strength to face the place where she lost her mother only three years ago.
While now, like the family members of the other victims, every March 15 at noon, she returns to the village of her pain, to the memorial where her name is engraved.
Since Denisa was a child on the time of the disaster, she learned many details of the tragedy from her father.
He learned the rest after the tragedy by tracing information.
The more the mother’s portrait became distant in her memory, the more the idea that justice was not done was embedded in her, so she decided to study law.
Now on the 15th anniversary of the tragedy, the Gërdec tragedy file has been opened again, turning into a court story that has given hope to all those who lost their loved ones.
This is because as the time that passes, only the pain and quest for justice remain for the 26 killed and over 300 injured in the tragic explosion of the former arms dismantling factory.
