On May 23, 2008 Dritan Hoxha passed away after a car accident in the center of Tirana, but the sudden death of the founder of Top Media, Dritan Hoxha does not discourage his mission and is commemorated every year by well-wishers.
Hoxha founded radio Top Albania, Top Gold and My Music, the television Top Channel, the newspaper “Shqip”, as well as the first platform in Albania for digital terrestrial and satellite transmissions DigitAlb and then also for mobile transmissions according to DVB-H technology.
With his hard work, DigitAlb was the first company in Albania to broadcast in High Definition format, while Top Channel was the first television to produce shows and documentaries in High Definition.
Top Channel was born as a family which initially consisted of those who believed in Dritan Hoxha’s project.
After that, every Albanian could find himself in it.
Top Channel ran at the pace of Dritan Hoxha, of his vision and passion, with the desire to become always bigger. Top Channel continues to follow the Hoxha’s dream, the dream of a man who showed that everything is possible if you really desire it.
Today, on the 15th anniversary of his passing, Top Channel continues to get bigger, continues to challenge and follow the best.
Just as it was born, through the talent, qualities and passions of a man, it remains today in the home of every Albanian…
