100 million EUR pact for doubling university budgets

The government has prepared a draft-law for changing the state budget for the next year, doubling the funds for university education and scientific research.

The draft-decision is part of the Pact for the University, a plan that the Albanian Prime Minister has published on the “Albania We Want” portal (shqiperiaqeduam.al).

The budget for the next year was to be 7.4 billion ALL for higher education. It will be now 14.9 billion ALL.

The same measure is foreseen for the science funds, which will be doubled from 620 million to 1.2 billion.
