1 million march in Paris. Albanian religious leaders applauded.

Leaders from around the world marched today in Paris against religious
extremism. Albania was represented by the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi
Rama, the Albanian Foreign Minister, Ditmir Bushati, and the Minister of
Social Welfare, Erion Veliaj, together with the President of Kosovo,
Mrs. Atifete Jahjaga.

The world leaders marched in silence in the Republic Square, Paris, led by the French President, François Holland; the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel; the Italian Prime Minister, Matteo Renzi; the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyaho, and other leaders such as Donald Tusk and Abu Mazen.

The Albanian religious leaders were applauded by the crowd while marching side by side, giving a very significant message on the streets of Paris.

The march went on in silence while the crowd was heard chanting “Freedom” and “Charlie”. Many greeted from the windows of their homes.
