The Vlore Police blocked 1.5 tons of marijuana that were being
transported inside a van. The drug was seized at the entrance of the
Vlore-Levan highway.

Two transporters were arrested, while several others are on the run.

Artan Didi, General Chief of the Vlore Police, declared that the operation has started earlier. Didi commented the accusations against the police.

“We are aware that the crime will not be able to block our path with guns. That time is over. But the crime is trying to make the police weaker by trying to intimidate the officers through various methods. One of them is appearing in public with a tie and a suit and speak ill against the police”, Artan Didi declared.

Didi emphasized the fact that the police is working through the entire country to block the cultivation of marijuana. He mentioned penalizations that start with the cultivators, local government leaders and inspectors, if they find cases for which no measure has been taken.

When asked about Lazarat, Didi declared that the police has entered the village.

“We have a well detailed plan for Lazarat, but Lazarat has the fame, because there have been other areas that people do not mention that have cultivated narcotics”, Artan Didi declared.

When asked about the investigations for the Divjaka airplane, Didi declared that they are investigating if it has happened in the past.
