Dog owners will have to apply for GPS chips and pet health passports

The Veterinary Service now has a database that will allow authorities to
monitor domestic dogs throughout the country, from vaccination,
aggressive behavior, diseases and even location by GPS.

Any citizens who buys or adopts a dog, will have to follow several steps at the veterinary office for registering their pet.

“Citizens will have to obtain a health passports and dogs must have a chip that will be registered at the National Veterinary Service”, said Edi Fero, Director of the National Veterinary Service.

Four of the most dangerous breeds will also be watched closely, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino and the Fila Brasileiro.
