Italian impostor robbed 250.000 EUR from Albanian businessmen

An Italian citizen, named Giuseppe Mei, introduced himself as a
businessman looking to invest in construction, realizing this way a
fraud scheme against several businessmen in Durres and Vlore.
Mei has been able to collect 250.000 EUR from several businessmen, promising to bring Italian investors for the construction of several apartment buildings in Vlore and Durres.
The Albanian Prosecutors learned from their Italian counterparts that Mei was known for the Italian justice as an impostor. He had used the same scheme in several local areas in Italy.
He will be facing 5 to 10 years in prison for fraud, if found guilty by the Tirana Court.
