Velipoja park burned by wildfire. Pyromaniacs arrested in Voskopoja

Fires have burned down the Pulaj Forest in Velipoja.
8 hectares of various forms of vegetation were burned in these area, known also for migratory birds.
Authorities are intervening with helicopters to keep the fire under control. The army and firefighters are working from land, while the situation appears to be very serious.
Last night rains did not include the Velipoja area, leaving fires to continue all night.
In Voskopja, in the meanwhile, dangerous fires were put out by fires. The Korca police said they arrested six suspects for arson. Fire at the Lura Park was put out as well.
