The President of China, Xi Jinping, sent a congratulatory message to Ilir Meta after he took his oath as President of Albania.
The Chinese President said that both countries enjoy a deep traditional friendship, and that the relations have kept improving during the past years.
“On behalf of the Chinese government and Chinese people, I express my best wishes. I am convinced that the country will improve with new results under your leadership. Our people enjoy a deep traditional friendship. During the past years, our relations have enjoyed constant and healthy developments with cooperation and exchange in various areas”, says the Chinese President on his message.
The Chinese President values the personal role of Ilir Meta for encouraging friendship between both countries.
“You are an old friend of the Chinese people. You have done a lot of work to encourage Albanian-Chinese friendship. I pay great attention to the development of Albanian-Chinese relations, and I am ready to make efforts, together with You, to deepen these cooperation in all areas, for building the “one belt one road” project, and push forward the Albanian-Chinese friendship for the best of both our people. I wish prosperity to your country and happiness to your people”, Xi Jinping said.
