After the US former Republican congressman, Joseph DioGuardi, declared
in an interview that Rama won because he supported the judiciary, which
the others tried to stop, the Albanian opposition reacted with a public
statement.
The Democratic Party attacked the former congressman and called him Rama’s newest lobbyist.
“The absence of scruples shows that he was well paid. This congressman talks about Albania but he doesn’t mention drug, crime, corruption and massive vote purchase, a fact that the entire world knows. He doesn’t mention them simply because he was bought by this dirty money, same as other lobbyists that Rama has bought in Brussels, Berlin and Washington”, the Democratic Party declaration said.
