The EU High Representative of Foreign Policy, Federica Mogherini,
invited Zoran Zaev to represent Macedonia as the new Prime Minister of
the country, together with the Prime Ministers of Serbia, Montenegro,
Albania, Kosovo and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

One week ago, Zaev was authorized by President Ivanov to form the new government within 20 days.

The purpose of the meeting organized by Mogherini is to talk about the increasing tensions in some Western Balkan countries, and progress with the regional cooperation and their closer approach to EU.

Maja Kocijancic, Spokesperson for Mogherini, announced a few days ago that six Balkan Prime Ministers are invited in a non-formal meeting to talk about the developments in the region and the steps needed to be taken for improving the situation. Unofficial sources say the main focus will be on Macedonia and Kosovo, which will have early elections on June 11th.

Kocijancic says that the meeting will be a good chance for Federica Mogherini to be informed first hand for the progress made in the region after her visit on March 2017.
