Mogherini and Hahn: “Time for Vetting Law”

The European Commission greeted the agreement reached between the Albanian majority and opposition.
The EU High Representative, Federica Mogherini, and the Commissioner for Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, underlined that the political leaders answered to the expectancies of our citizens by showing political maturity.
For them, this is a very important first step. But Mogherini and Hahn expect this agreement to be implemented, in order to prepare elections of international standards.
For the two representatives of the European Commission, the Vetting agreement is as important as the elections.
“Since the Vetting Commission is part of the agreement, we reiterate the importance of a solid implementation of the Vetting Law, which is key to the EU path of Albania”, the letter says.
The letter of Mogherini and Hahn concludes with the assurance that the European Union was strongly committed to resolve the political crisis in Albania.
Especially Commissioner Johannes Hahn, who kept constant relations with both political parties, to convince them find a solution.
