In an interview for Wall Street Journal, the President of Kosovo, Hashim
Thaci, said that the times of domination are over Balkan..

Anyone who presents his country as a superpower in the region, is wrong, according to Thaci, especially if this claim is based on Russian war planes.

Wall Street Journal writes that Europe’s newest state still has many open wounds, after the ethnic cleansing that followed the dissolution of former Yugoslavia, which forced US Government in 1999, led by the Clinton administration, to engage NATO in a bombing campaign against Serbia, ending this way Slobodan Miloshevic’s oppression on Albanians.

Thaci said no country leads the region, and this is why Serbia lost all of the wars that they started.

Thaci added that Europe and the world are changing, however, liberal democracies have been hurt.

He added that it is up to Belgrade if they want to become Russia’s military base in Western Balkan, but he thinks that Serbian citizens would be wanting an European perspective, rather than turning into a destabilization factor in the region, as they used to be before.
