The electronic voting issue caused debates between the Central Election Commission members today.

Democratic Party representative, Njazo Kosovrasti, said the CEC Chairman, Denar Biba, should not go against the electronic voting. “As Chairman, you have no legal obligation to do this. The law has nothing about adding electronic voting. If it is an added competence to you job, you can resign if you cannot do it”, he said.

Biba replied that discussing about electronic voting in the CEC a few months before the elections, is the most ridiculous thing. The vice chairman of the CEC, appointed by the Democratic Party, also opposed the Chairman, but the session continued normally.

The CEC voted unanimously for all decisions regarding the preparations of the June 18th elections, which includes the electoral funds for parties. Based on the Parliament seats, the Socialists, the Democratic Party and the SMI took most of the funds.
