Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic received at his office the US
Ambassador to Belgrade, Kyle R. Scott, to discuss about the incident
created with the Belgrade-Mitrovica train.

The Serbian Presidency issued a press release, stating that President Nikolic expressed his indignation to the US Ambassador for the fact that their administration has formed the state of Kosovo, and that Washington has created great damage.

Nikolic, who also accused the Obama administration a few days ago, hopes that the new Trump presidency will do fewer mistakes.

The US Embassy in Belgrade has reacted immediately after, with Ambassador Scott stating that the USA still support the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

“4 billion USD of investments and 16.000 people employed by American companies in Serbia are a clear indicator of the power and vitality of our bilateral relations”, says the US Embassy statement.
