Thaci for Reuters: “Serbia is following Russia’s model in Crimea”

Serbia wants to take northern Kosovo same as Russia did with Crimea in
2014, said the Kosovo President, Hashim Thaci, for Reuters.
Thaci said that Kosovo Special Police prevented a train full of nationalist slogans from entering Kosovo, with the purpose to provoke Kosovo citizens and create a pretext for Serbia to enter with its military and annex northern Kosovo, where there are 50.000 ethnic Serbs.
According to Thaci, this is the same scenario used by Moscow for Crimea.
The Serbian President, Tomislav Nikolic, said that the reaction of Kosovo showed they wanted war. Thaci answered by saying that any effort of Serbia to annex Northern Kosovo would spur a chain reaction in Western Balkan, from Bosnia, Croatia and Montenegro.
Serbia and Kosovo both aspire to join the EU, but Serbia keeps blocking any effort of Kosovo to become member of international organizations, including the UN.
