US Deputy Secretary of State, Tom Countryman, declared that Serbia must not be allowed in EU without recognizing Kosovo first.
“This is something that cannot be decided by Washington, but by EU. But I don’t see it reasonable that a country that still has territorial pretenses enter in EU”, Countryman declared.
Commenting on Kosovo-Serbia talks, the US official valued the mutual respect between parties and urged for more commitment.
“Until now, we have seen no political good will to achieve serious solutions. Albanians and Serbians are waiting to solve their daily problems”, Countryman underlined.
