US Congressman Engel received with great honors in Kosovo by PM Haradinaj

Kosovo PM Ramush Haradinaj thanked him for the contribution given to the independence of the country, and gave him the symbolic silver plate from the Kosovo Post Office, as a special recognition. He also asked USA’s support for the visa liberalization and dialogue process with Serbia.

Engel said that he will try to give America have a safe involvement in Balkan and Kosovo.

“Although this is a matter of the EU, the USA must be involved. I am very disappointed by the Serbian stance regarding Kosovo. Kosovo has not become UN member yet due to the troubles caused by Serbia and Russia. Belgrade has blocked its accession to important agencies, such as Interpol and UNESCO, where Kosovo lost for three votes. If Serbia and Kosovo try to cooperate on EU progress, no country should undermine their requests”, Engel said, adding that Kosovo will always have USA’s support.
