Albanian President, Bamir Topi held a meeting with US Ambassador
Alexander Arvizu, with whom he discussed about the post-election
situation in Albania.
According to the Presidency, both diplomats emphasized the need for closing the electoral process as soon as possible and for overcoming the prolonged political stalemate through dialogue and by respecting of the law and independent constitutional institutions, serving this way to the major interests of the country and the EU integration aspirations of the Albanian people.
During the meeting, Topi handled to Arvizu the message that the Albanian President addressed to US President Obama for the 235th anniversary of Independence.
