The Tirana Aqueduct is about to be sold. Several companies have
approached in the past months with their bids to buy it. The Aqueduct is
currently managed partially by the government and private operators.
Sources at the Tirana Municipality confirm the bids, saying they have arrived thanks to the investments realized recently for improving the market, and because of more paying citizens.
No company names were given, but sources at the Municipality say the foreign investors are serious firms that want to invest and improve water supply for Tirana.
Same sources said that the municipality would only profit from the sale.
